The Second Haruv International Conference

The second international conference, on “Child Maltreatment in Context”, was held in early December at the Hebrew University Mt. Scopus campus. There were 130 participants from Israel, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland and Portugal, representing a wide range of professions, services and academic institutions in the fields of social work, psychology, health and mental health, education and law. In addition to the plenary lectures, six parallel sessions were held, which included over one hundred symposiums and lectures on a variety of aspects of the subject of the conference. Additionally, a cultural evening was held (in Hebrew), presenting the topic from the perspective of literature and theatre, and was received with great excitement by those attending the event.
