The International Journal on Child Maltreatment
The International Journal on Child Maltreatment: Research, Policy and Practice is a pioneering journal in the field of child abuse and neglect. The journal is published by the cooperation of two leading organizations: The Kempe Center and The Haruv Institute. The journal’s objective is to promote international research of policies and practices related to children’s right of safety and protection, including protecting their body security, promoting a sense of safety and ensuring they receive appropriate care according to their basic needs.
These days, the journal is out with a call for papers for its special issue: Female Perpetration of Childhood Maltreatment. The issue will focus on a deeper examination of the phenomenon while referring to questions of prevalence and characteristics, how female perpetrators differ from male counterparts, the motives for women to harm children, their actions, and the long-term effects of childhood maltreatment conducted by women.
The special issue seeks to address these literary gaps, and the implications of the studies published are significantly important to professionals working in the area of childhood maltreatment. More specifically, it is expected that this cutting-edge innovative special issue, will promote future prevention and intervention efforts.
Guest editors of the special issue: Dafna Tener, PhD, Dana Lassri, PhD, and Ateret Gewirtz-Meydan, PhD.
