Carmit Katz is a Professor of Social Work at Tel Aviv University and the Director of Research at Haruv Institute. Katz main area of research is macro child maltreatment. Katz is the founder and director of the Israeli Independent Public Inquiry into Child Abuse. Katz is also the founder and director of the International group of scholars protecting children from maltreatment during COVID-19 with the support of ISPCAN. Katz is an Associate Editor of Child Abuse and Neglect; and the Editor in Chief of The International Journal of Child Maltreatment.
