Study Program for the Staff of the Communication Kindergartens (for Children on the ASD Spectrum) in Jerusalem, on the subject of Maltreated Children

In collaboration with: The communication kindergartens in Jerusalem

Goal: To provide the kindergarten staff with tools to detect and identify maltreated children, tools for treating and handling a case of suspected abuse – vis-à-vis the child, his family and the treatment frameworks in the community.

Target Population: A multi-disciplinary staff from all the communication kindergartens in Jerusalem (kindergarten teachers, aides, paramedical staff)

Training Program for Kindergarten Teachers’ Aides in Ma’aleh- Edumim on: “Detecting and Identifying Child Victims of Abuse and Neglect”

Goal: To provide the staff of kindergarten aides with tools for detecting and identifying maltreated children within the kindergarten settings, and how to proceed if suspicion of child abuse arises – vis-à-vis the child, his family, the kindergarten staff and supervisors, and community-based treatment agencies.

Target Population: Kindergarten teachers’ aides in the city’s kindergartens

Number of Sessions: 3

Participants: 100

Study Programs for the Language Kindergartens Network, Jerusalem, on: Child Victims of Abuse and Neglect

Goal: To provide the kindergarten staff with tools for detecting and identifying maltreated children within the kindergarten settings, and how to proceed if suspicion of child abuse arises – vis-à-vis the child, his family and community-based treatment agencies.

Target Population: Multi-disciplinary staff of all language kindergartens in Jerusalem (kindergarten teachers, aides and para-medical staff)

Study Program on Prevention and Detection of Sexual Abuse Victims within the Educational System and the Community

In Partnership with: The Social Services Department and Educational-Psychological Service, Binyamin Region

Goal: To provide tools to help prevent, cope with and treat incidents of sexual abuse within the educational system and in the community. At the end of the training program, participants (in pairs) are asked to prepare guidance kits for the teachers’ rooms of the educational frameworks in the regional council, for two workshops within the schools for the 2017-2018 school year.

Target Population:  Staff of the Social Services Department and the Educational-Psychological Service

Number of Sessions: 9
