Visit of International Delegation from Albania
As part of the Haruv Institute’s expansion of its international activities, in March 2015 a delegation of seven professionals from Albania was invited to Israel: Four senior academics from Tirana University, including the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Head of the School of Social Work, and three senior representatives of government and social organizations.
The visit was organized in cooperation with the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs—the department for International Cooperation.
During its week-long stay in Jerusalem, the delegation visited various services for children at risk (for example, an Emergency Center, a Child Protection Center, and the community division of the Jerusalem Municipality ), listened to lectures from top researchers in the field, and met with leading academic colleagues and policymakers in the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Members of the delegation were grateful for the opportunity to get to know central figures in the area of service development for children at risk in Israel and adopted several ideas for further development in Albania.
This visit also enabled Israeli professionals and academics to hear first-hand reports of activities in Albania
