Accessible information for children with disabilities

Young children and adolescents often face emotional difficulties, feelings of overwhelm, or confusion. These feelings can be even more complex for children with cognitive disabilities.

It is especially important to provide them with simple, clear, and accessible tools to help them understand what they can do in such moments.

Haruv Institute, in collaboration with the Shekel Association, has developed a series of brochures for children with cognitive disabilities that offer simple ways to pause, identify what they are feeling, and share or seek help when needed.

The brochures are written in clear language and are intended to support conversations with children about coping with challenging emotional situations.

Parents, teachers, and professionals who work with children are invited to download the brochures and use them as a resource for discussion, guidance, and joint practice.
