Paula David is a social worker and psychotherapist who completed the 3-year psychotherapy course of the Israel Psychoanalytic Society  in Jerusalem. She received her doctorate from the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on the topic of bottom-up dissemination of an evidence-based intervention for young, traumatized children and their families.

Paula worked as a social worker at the Jerusalem Hills Children’s Home (formerly “Bnei Brith”), which treats children with severe emotional problems, for nearly 20 years, and managed its social services unit for five of them. She was an adjunct lecturer for seven years at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and now teaches both in its master’s program, and in various Haruv learning programs.

She has a private psychotherapy practice, where she works with children and adults.
